Marco S. Meier

Marco S. Meier specialises in information and communications technology (ICT) law. He advises and represents national and international clients in all areas of technology, IT, data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property law as well as in technology-related compliance matters, including the use or development of artificial intelligence (AI).

As a trained computer scientist and Certified International Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E), he brings in-depth technical knowledge and practical experience to projects. He has extensive experience in implementing data protection compliance projects under Swiss law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. He is also highly experienced in software and licensing issues as well as technology and outsourcing projects in various industries.

He further specialises in dispute resolution in the ICT sector as well as advising on digital marketing activities. In addition, he regularly advises national and multinational companies on IT/IP M&A transactions.

Marco S. Meier has been recognized by Legal500 as a “Rising Star” in the area of “Data Privacy and Data Protection” in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
