Independent advice to the board of directors

Internationally, it is increasingly becoming best practice for the board of directors to be advised by experts who are independent of the group management or executive management, i.e., who have no business relationship with the operational level of the respective company.

Our business model as a boutique law firm with an integration function of internal and external services enables us to act as fully independent advisors and sparring partners to the board of directors.

With their competence and experience in the field of corporate governance, our scientifically- and practically-trained experts are available as independent advisors to the board of directors and/or its committees. This is possible

• on an ongoing basis in the sense of cross-thematic external support for the work of the board of directors or the work of the respective board committee, whereby the topics to be discussed in greater depth are determined in discussions between our experts and the board or committee members, as well as
• on a project basis to deal with a particular situation or issue in the board of directors or in a board committee.

Without formally assuming a board mandate following the election by the general meeting of shareholders and acceptance of the mandate, our support of the board of directors or the respective board committee is purely advisory in nature.
