Markus Binder advises private and public companies as well as individuals in the areas of real estate law, corporate law, contract law, foundation law and inheritance law. He specialises in real estate transactions of all kinds, in particular asset deals and portfolio transactions. Furthermore, his experience includes providing advice in all areas of the law related to notary services.
Markus Binder studied at the Universities of Geneva, Bern and Zurich, where he graduated with a law degree (lic. iur., 1978). He was admitted to the Bar in 1982 and as a notary of the Canton of Aargau in 1989. In 1985 he completed his doctorate at the University of Zurich on the subject of “The Statute of Limitations in Swiss Tax Law”, for which he was awarded the Walther Hug Award. He completed his postgraduate studies in International Business Law (LL.M.) at the University of Zurich in 1998.
Markus Binder is married and the father of two adult daughters. In his leisure time he enjoys reading and cultural activities (such as art exhibitions, theatre and opera).
